According to the Arkham analytics firm, Donald Trump's digital assets are worth over $10 million. Most of this is TRUMP tokens.
Donald Trump and his cryptocurrency fortune
Arkham Intelligence reported on Monday that Trump's digital assets are worth more than $10 million. This is the result of the increase in TRUMP's value. The politician holds 579.2 such tokens worth $7.3 million.
According to the company's analysis, the former president also has 463.3 ETH, which was worth USD 1.81 million at the time the report was prepared.
These two assets also include MVP, CONAN and BABYTRUMP tokens.
Changing the approach to cryptocurrencies
Trump recently changed his position on cryptocurrencies. A few years ago, he admitted that he was “not a fan of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that are not money and whose value is very volatile and based on air.” He added that he wanted to take care of the dollar.
Over time, we learned that he had issued his NFT series. At a recent meeting with holders of these tokens, he declared that he would defend the cryptocurrency market. He struck similar tones on Saturday at the National Libertarian Convention in Washington. He promised to “stop Joe Biden's crusade to destroy cryptocurrencies.” He repeated that he wants the USA to be the leader of the blockchain market and will not be satisfied with the number two place. He also pledged not to “allow the creation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC).” The icing on the cake was the promise of the release of Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, from prison.
After this meeting, the price of TRUMP increased by 31.7% against the US dollar in 24 hours.
As I have already written on bitcoin.pl, Trump's campaign team recently started accepting donations in the form of cryptocurrencies via Coinbase.
Of course, Trump is a politician and he is fighting for the electorate. His research probably showed that there are enough BTC investors to seek their votes. This does not change the fact that his pro-cryptocurrency approach will be beneficial to the market. Of course, assuming he wins the power struggle.
