The Bitcoin 2024 conference begins tomorrow. It may be the most important cryptocurrency event of the year.

Bitcoin 2024 is the latest installment of the US cryptocurrency conference. Previous editions have already become a place where history is made. Don’t look far: at Bitcoin 2021, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele announced that his country will recognize BTC as a means of payment.
There are many indications that Bitcoin 2024 will also go down in history. The lineup of speakers suggests so.
Of course, the biggest star of the event is Donald Trump (more on him in a moment). He will be “supported” by Michael Saylor from MicroStrategy, Cathie Wood from Ark, his presidential rival Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Vivek Ramaswamy, Senator Cynthia Lummis, Senator Bill Hagerty, Edward Snowden and over 400 different people from the cryptocurrency industry. Will Donald Trump say a breakthrough sentence?
But why is everyone so excited about Bitcoin 2024? I pointed out the speakers earlier. And indeed, the appearance of Trump, a former and perhaps future president, is impressive. Especially since the election campaign is underway. Many people expect the Republican Party candidate to say something “big” during his speech.
Cynthia Lummis added to the excitement with her post on X. She suggested that something “big” is coming this week. However, she wrote the first letter of the word “big” in a specific way – using the bitcoin symbol.
But that still doesn’t answer the question of what’s going on. Some suggest that Trump will go all out and promise that if he wins the election, he will make the US authorities start buying BTC and treat it as a reserve asset. This would equate bitcoin with gold. Together with the rumor that Trump-President would cooperate with Larry Fink from BlackRock (who would become Secretary of the Treasury), this gives us a coherent whole. However, the road to realizing this beautiful vision is long and bumpy. The White House would have to convince the deep state to take this step.
Apart from the latter, Bitcoin 2024 could feature many interesting appearances. Especially since there are rumors that Kamala Harris will also appear at the event.
