Donald Trump will meet today in Alaska with Vladimir Putin. Reason? Peace talks about Ukraine. Markets are waiting for what both politicians will announce.
What can we expect? It is possible that again … nothing. Over the past months, the US has already negotiated with Russia and, as we know, it did not help much. Moscow only shows the lack of agency of Americans, undermines their strength and meaning. The latter still press on the Kremlin to end the conflict – if not with a request, it is a threat (e.g. sanctions).
Why are the Russians not worried about the US? They probably know that Washington cares about the alliance with them and their neutrality in the event of a potential America war with China.
So we have one variant: it will end up in words. It is also the second: Putin gets along with Trump. And here it gets more interesting, because we can think about what conditions.
Room at all costs?
Russia may demand the division of our neighbor – classes of part of its territories and formal sanctioning of plunder. It can also be tempted by the exploitation of rare lands common with the US, which are found in Ukraine. In addition, Kiev’s Finlandisation may occur: announcement of the country’s neutrality, blocking of joining NATO and disarmament. This is already a deadly threat to Eastern and Central Europe.
Putin can put the so -called Lavrov Ultimatum from 2022. In practice: propose the withdrawal of NATO troops from countries that joined the alliance after 1997. Yes, including Poland. In practice, this will mean the inclusion of Russia to – as it is nicely defined – the defense system of Europe. This will mean that the Kremlin will decide about the region’s policy, including our country. And therefore the size and state of the Polish army, the source of raw materials acquisition, and finally a model of the economy (e.g. excluding research on new technologies).
Bitcoin course will shoot?
If both powers announce, however, that they got along, we can see the burst on the BTC chart. Reason? This will bring the world closer to (temporary?) Peace. Calm will return to the dance floor. However, the compromise, however, may prove to be a long -term zazewie new war.
