Bitget joins the Unicef Game Changers coalition

Bitget, the leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 – starts three years of cooperation with UNICEF LUXEMBURG, which aims to develop digital skills and blockchain education among young people.

As part of this partnership, Bitget joins Game Changers Coalition (GCC), an initiative run by the UNICEF (Office of Innovation) Bureau. Bitget support will allow you to reach with knowledge about blockchain technology up to 300,000 people – including teenage girls, parents, mentors and teachers – in eight countries: Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco and South Africa. Bitget Academythe company’s educational arm – will take part in the development of the first, interactive UNICEF course with blockchain technology, conducted both online and stationary. The training will be based on creating video games and will go to young people and teachers as part of an existing educational program, which includes hundreds of thousands of people. Bitget will also help expand the coalition range by the ninth country.

This partnership reflects our common belief that digital skills are a powerful tool that builds opportunities and integration – said Sandra Visscher, executive director of UNICEF Luxembourg. Thanks to cooperation with Bitget, we want to equip young people with tools, knowledge and self -confidence so that they can shape their future themselves. Innovations should be used to socialize – open the door, expand the horizons and ensure that the technology serves everyone, everywhere.

Bitget also plans to present UNICEF leading blockchain protocols and developers from the Web3 space to develop an educational initiative jointly. New partners can act as mentors and consultants, bringing a diverse look at the potential of this technology.

New technologies cannot be reserved only for privileged ones – we must introduce them early and evenly. Blockchain, thanks to practical applications and potential to bring social good, is one of the most powerful tools that we can convey to the young generation. The blockchain4her project, which was originally aimed at supporting hundreds of women, today has grown to the rank of global movement, which educates thousands of girls. It was for such a scale and influence that blockchain technology was created – said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.

Every year, teenage girls and young women in countries with low and medium income lose up to $ 15 billion of potential income due to limited access to the Internet and deficiencies in digital skills compared to their male peers. In a world where 90% of the competition requires digital competences, Game Changers Coalition responds to the urgent need to eliminate the digital gender gap.

Together, Bitget and UNICEF want to create a scalable, inclusive education model that will equip young women with tools needed to actively participate in the digital economy of the future.

As part of the Game Changers Coalition, Bitget joins the Global Video Game Coalition, Micron Foundation and organizations supporting women in the game industry (Women in Games), sharing the joint ambition to reach 1.1 million girls by 2027 with an educational and development offer.

Thanks to Bitget Academy and the support of the 10 million Blockchain4her initiative, Bitget intends to raise the level of digital competence and financial independence among girls at an early stage of their education.

Blockchain4her initiative previously supported women through mentor programs, the possibility of obtaining funds and access to educational resources.

Bitget and UNICEF Luxembourg together strive to ensure that the new generation of girls gain the knowledge and skills needed to actively participate in the developing economy based on blockchain technology.
