The court in Rawa Mazowiecka issued a breakthrough judgment. It is about the matter of internet scamu. The thread of cryptocurrencies appears in it.
The scammers took a loan for him
The story begins when a man, a later victim of fraudsters, found an advertisement on the network promoting the investment in cryptocurrencies. So he set up an account on the platform, which was to help him multiply the funds. He also quickly contacted the “Investment Advisor”, who asked him for … a password and login for online banking. The man carelessly gave him this data. And in this way his problems began.
Criminals made sure that their victim believes that investing was profitable. The man paid money to the platform, and soon after his bank account, tens of thousands of zlotys (first slightly over PLN 70,000, and then PLN 18,000) received. He assumed that they were profits from trading digital assets. However, it was money from the loan that was taken for him. Then the “adviser” advised to transfer these funds to the platform. And when the victim did it, contact broke off, and the money went to foreign accounts.
The police dealt with the matter, but eventually discontinued the investigation due to the fact that the perpetrators were not detected. The problem is that the bank wanted the victim to pay off its debt. The case went to court. And it turned out that a sentence was passed, which is surprising for many.
The court issues a breakthrough judgment
The court in Rawa Mazowiecka has already issued a verdict in the case and found that the victim of fraud could not be charged with the obligation to repay the loan taken by criminals. Reason? It was not the would -be investor who made a declaration of will. More precisely: the bank has not proved that it was the owner of the account that he made a commitment. In other words, the court annulled the loan agreement.
However, the verdict is unlawful.
This case should not calm anyone. We should still be vigilant: do not trust in “brilliant” investments that are promoted on the web. And even more so do not believe “advisers” who promise us some and high profits from investment.
