The USA is looking for the management of the GARANTEX cryptocurrency exchange. A reward is at stake!

The US authorities have announced a huge reward for all information about members of the Management Board of the Garaantex cryptocurrency. It is a Russian cryptocurrency trading platform.

The non -existent Russian Garaantex exchange enabled the washing of cybercriminals. Now the Office of the US Department of State Department has issued a statement in which it announced that she was taking her crossback.

As part of the Special Program of the US Department of State, it is offered to people who will help in finding members of the company’s board two prizes with a total value of USD 6 million. It is all information that will help in arrest or convict the Garaantex management. The first prize – 5 million – regarding Russian citizen Aleksander Mira Serdy, co -owner and director for communication (CCO), the second – USD 1 million – other key characters related to the platform.

So far, the stock exchange assets have been taken over. It happened after Tether’s interference, who blocked wallets associated with the stock exchange and took over its USDT. It happened at the beginning of this year. In addition, the German and Finnish authorities took over their project domains and froze over $ 26 million in digital assets controlled by Garaantex.

Laundry for hackers

According to FBI and Secret Service reports, between April 2019 and March 2025, the stock exchange processed cryptocurrency transactions worth at least USD 96 billion. She also received hundreds of millions of USD from criminals who used it to commit a number of crimes, including acts of terrorism or drug trafficking.

GARANTEX was founded at the end of 2019 and registered in Estonia. Most of her activities, however, was conducted from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. In February 2022, she lost its license for the provision of digital asset services after the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (EFIU) revealed serious gaps in its regulations regarding money laundering and financing of terrorism. She was also associated with the wallets of cyber criminals.

Despite this, the stock exchange was working. However, she did this by celebrating the law.

It is known that the funds with the help of the stock exchange was laundered, among others Jekaterina Żdanowa. Allegedly she transferred over 2 million USD in Bitcoins to the platform and turned them into Stablecoin USDT. She is currently prosecuted.

In March 2025, the US Department of Justice also published indictments against CCO Giełdy and other director, Alekksa Besciokov. The latter was arrested in India, the first remains at large.
