The Ethereum Foundation fires Dai! Artificial intelligence enters the blockchain

The Ethereum Foundation has just threw a glove to technological giants. While everyone is looking at Opeli and Google, which are fighting for the dominance in artificial intelligence, Ethereum Foundation decided to play a completely different league. Their new Dai team has one goal: make Ethereum the preferred platform for AI and economics of machines. This is not another buzzword, but a strategic move that can change the entire industry.

Ethereum Foundation Landscape Changes AI industry?

Davide Crapis, one of the key Ethereum developers, headed the new team of Dai. His mission sounds ambitious and specifically – transform Ethereum into a “preferred settlement and coordination layer for AI and economics of machines” and build a decentralized pile of AI, which will not depend on a handful of large corporations. It’s as if in the search engine sector from the 2 decades dominated by Google, the search engine was suddenly introduced on Google. blockchain.

The Ethereum Foundation wants to enter the artificial intelligence sector. It is actually a bull’s -eye, taking into account the extremely visible collision of Google, Opeli, Antropic and Xai from Elon Musk.

The current landscape AI is an oligopol of several giants who control both infrastructure and access to advanced models. The Ethereum Foundation wants to change this by offering a neutral, verifiable platform on which intelligent agents can operate without intermediaries.

ERC-8004: New Identity Standard for AI

The first specific step will be the presentation of the ERC-8004 standard at Devconnect in November. This is not another technical curiosity, but a potential game-changer for the entire ecosystem.

Imagine a world in which autonomous software initiates payments, signs messages and uses online services. Sounds like science fiction? The solutions that bring us closer to such a scenario are created before our eyes! The problem, however, is that there is a lack of identification and enforcement standards for security policies.

ERC-8004 is to change this.

The standard is to enable applications to verify three key aspects of AI agents:

  • Who is the agent – identity verification
  • What rules he follows – control of action policies
  • Can you trust him – credibility assessment

It sounds simple, but the implications are huge. The standardized way of identifying AI agents can eliminate fragmentation between wallets, agents and DAPPs, while giving developers a predictable way of commanding origin and behavior of agents. The problem with identification of identity by AI systems was very clearly highlighted by Comet, i.e. the AI browser from Perplexity.

Ethereum + ai = symbiotic relationship

Ethereum makes AI more credible, and AI makes Ethereum more useful. ”

Davide Crapis is held.

AI agents need a neutral base layer for values and reputation. Ethereum offers a decentralized, censorship -resistant infrastructure, which is not controlled by any individual organization. The more AI agents transactions, the more they will need such a neutral platform. What’s more, such a platform must be properly secured by cyber attacks.

On the other hand, AI can significantly increase the utility of Ethereum. Imagine smart contracts that optimize themselves, automatic fluidity management or intelligent wallets that provide for users’ needs. This is not a one -sided relationship, but a real synergy.

Long -term vision – AI decentralization!

The Ethereum Foundation and the Dai team are not focused only in the coming months. Their long -term vision includes the construction of a decentralized AI infrastructure resistant to censorship. This is part of a wider strategy, which recently also presented the end-to-end private road map and interoperability framework for layer 2.

This holistic vision makes sense. The future of technology cannot rely on several central control points. History shows that the most innovative and resistant systems are those that are decentralized and open.

Is this the beginning of a new era?

The Ethereum Foundation and the Dai team are not only another project, but a signal that the blockchain industry seriously treats convergication with AI. While others are trying to inject AI into existing, centralized models, Ethereum builds the infrastructure of the future from scratch.

Of course, the success of this undertaking depends on the adoption by developers and the community. The ERC-8004 standard must not only be technically solid, but also practical to use. The November presentation at Devconnect will be the first real test (about which of course we will inform you in a separate article).

One thing is certain: the Ethereum Foundation does not intend to be passive in the AI future race. Instead of chasing technological giants, they build an alternative path – open, decentralized and available to everyone. Will it work? Time will tell, but I bet many AI developers are already sharp teeth for a November presentation. Ethereum + AI may be an equation for the future. And if Crapis and his team are right, the future AI will be more open and decentralization than the current industry leaders assumed.
