2021 was undoubtedly a great year for shiba inu (SHIB). The coin has been hitting record after record in terms of price. Investors who got into the project early achieved colossal ROI. It turns out that’s not all. SHIB was also the most viewed coin on CoinMarketCap in 2021. The so-called DOGE killer even overtook BTC and ETH.
According to CoinMarketCap, the shiba inu has had more than 188 million views in the past 12 months. That’s about 43 million more than bitcoin, which has been viewed 145 million times this year.

Dogecoin came in third place with 107 million views. The next projects were Cardano and Ethereum with 86 and 81 million views respectively.
Interestingly enough, The Shiba Inu has only been around for 15 monthsbut it is currently ranked 13th among the largest cryptocurrencies in the world by market capitalization.
In October alone, SHIB rose 133% in four days. It reached an ATH of $0.000088. Bulls pushed the market capitalization to over $41.5 billion. At that time, the coin entered the top ten largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, surpassing its main “dog” rival.
Shiba Inu Still Gaining Adoption
The Shiba inu has achieved a lot in the past year. What’s more, it is constantly climbing north, arousing interest among investors.
Last month, popular exchange Kraken announced on Twitter that it would support SHIB if a tweet got more than 2,000 likes. However, it got a lot more likes. The post quickly gained 41,000 likes and became the exchange’s second most popular tweet.
