Revolut remains one of the most interesting fintech projects today. In this article, I will take a look at the company that is revolutionizing the European payments market. I will also see how interesting Revolut’s services are for Polish users, and whether you can earn real money with this application.
Revolut – what is this popular company really?
Revolut launched in 2015 as an electronic money institution and has come a really long and impressive way since then.
Today, Revolut also offers a mobile application, which since 2017 also supports transactions in PLN. The project is so revolutionary (and uses ideas from the cryptocurrency market) that the smartphone application itself allows the user to set up a bank account linked to a payment card. The “App” and the account allow you to make free domestic and international transfers and pay for purchases abroad without commission or additional fees.

How can I use my Revolut card?
An interesting option offered by Revolut is to obtain a virtual card or a virtual card with a variable number. You can add both to ApplePay or GooglePay and pay contactlessly without using cash. The latter option provides additional security when paying on the Internet or payment terminals, because thanks to it we do not have to worry about reusing card data. Why? A virtual card with a variable number, changes its number after each transaction.
Below are some practical uses for the Revolut card:
- Add a card to Netflix, Amazon, Steam and other subscription services. Pay for your entertainment safely and at the best exchange rates.
- You can use the card when shopping online on Allegro or order a meal using it via Uber Eats, dobre.pl.
- Pay with your Revolut card contactless and withdraw cash at thousands of Euronet ATMs around the world.
Currency exchange cheaper than at an exchange office
It is worth adding that the Revolut system not only allows you to pay with various currencies (and cryptocurrencies), but also the exchange itself takes place at the interbank exchange rate, which is more favorable than in a currency exchange office (and in practice, the best we can get). For example, when buying USD 1, we can save – depending on the exchange office’s offer – from PLN 1.47 to PLN 12.25 (on each dollar!).
Revolut affiliate program
It’s also worth taking a look at the Revolut affiliate program.
How to become a referral partner? It’s very simple. All you need to do is go to your profile in the Revolut app during the campaign (currently until November 11) and select the “invite friends” option.
After your friend accepts the invitation, he or she will have to complete the registration process within 10 days, deposit funds into the account, order a physical card, and then use it to perform at least three physical transactions (transfers are not accepted) for an amount of min. 15 PLN. Each of the three transactions must be completed on a different day.
