Polish services robbed the president of Cinkciarz.pl of approximately 500 BTC?

The management board of Cinkciarz.pl accused employees of the Central Police Investigation Bureau (CBŚP) of stealing approximately 500 BTC, which allegedly took place during a search of the house previously belonging to the company’s president, Marcin Pióro, in Zielona Góra.

The services robbed the head of Conotoxia?

The management board of Cinkciarz.pl claims that during a search of the house that recently belonged to the company’s president, Marcin Pióro (now it is owned by a member of the businessman’s family), employees of the Polish services stole cash – PLN 1.2 million, PLN 855,000. USD and 260 thousand EUR – and cryptocurrencies worth approximately PLN 200 million. In the case of the latter, it is said to be 5 pendrives containing files with private keys to 33 wallets with 492 bitcoins.

Where did Pióro get these funds? He was supposed to buy them with private money. He has been investing in BTC since 2015.

At this stage, however, it must be clarified that the services have the right to temporarily seize data media if they believe that they may contain data important in the context of the investigation. However, it is crucial to include information about the seizure in the search report, to which the property owner can submit comments. What was it like in this case? More on that in a moment.

The company’s statement also states that “the prosecutor’s office seized approximately 500 private, used items, mainly clothes and shoes, which have no connection with the ongoing proceedings.”

About 95% of these items were women’s items, which – in our opinion – was intended to create the appearance of a spectacular action and mislead the public opinion

– you can read in the statement of the company’s management.

The statement also shows that the property was searched quite a long time ago, on October 28. The house was previously owned by the president of Cinkciarz.pl, but he transferred it to a member of his family after Conotoxia, the company behind his e-currency exchange office, lost its license to provide payment services.

CBŚP employees were to disconnect the monitoring system during the search, which was supposed to help them steal assets. Of course, this is all the company’s opinion.

What does the prosecutor’s office say about this?

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Poznań commented on everything in Bankier.pl: it claims that everything was done in accordance with the law, which suggests that the seized assets may be evidence in the case and no one stole them.

The investigation regarding Conotoxia concerns unfavorable disposal of property. The platform’s customers cannot withdraw their money, and there are even suggestions that the company was a pyramid scheme.

These funds (obtained by the company from customers) were actually used by the company for other purposes. To date, the investigation has revealed over 800 injured persons who deposited money into the accounts of Cinkciarz.pl sp. z o. o. and to whom this entity failed to provide the service offered.

– the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Poznań told the media.

In addition, Conotoxia recorded losses for 8 years, which eventually reached PLN 200 million. At that time, the company’s management received large payments.
