Over the years, cryptocurrency portfolios promised us a financial revolution. Meanwhile, most of them still require transferring money between three applications, two banks and a stock exchange to buy coffee.
Phantom apparently had enough of this farce and just released Phantom Cash: superaplication that treats the border between Krypto and Fiat as an unnecessary relic of the past.
No more Krypto payment with the Gordian node
15 million Phantom users (the most popular portfolio in the Solana ecosystem) just got a new tool that can change the way we think about the crypto-fiat bridge. Phantom Cash is not another DEFI experiment, but a specific, tangible financial superaplication, allowing you to forget about the constant transfer of funds between a traditional bank and blockchain.
The system launched just 24 hours ago works in a simple principle: all in one place. Do you want to pay for coffee? Phantom. Send money to a friend? Phantom. Pay crypto for real expenses? Yes, you think well, Phantom again!
Cash – Stablecoin, which makes sense
The heart of the whole system beats to the rhythm of Cash, i.e. the new Stablecoin fully secured by the American dollar (USD), operating on Solan. And here comes an interesting twist: Cash was created in cooperation with Stripe’s Open Banking, which means full integration with traditional financial infrastructure from the first day. Simple transfers, like
Phantom does not hide: existing stablecoin was not designed for everyday life. So they built their own. One that works where people actually spend money – in stores, applications, payment terminals. Thanks to this Phantom Cash, it can be as intuitive to use as your daily banking.
What exactly can you do?
Phantom Cash is a function package that makes the border between “Krypto” and “Fiat” blur:
- Immediate payments from the bank. You connect a bank account or card and you have a few seconds ready for use. On your conditions.
- Rapid conversion of Crypto-to-Cash. A few clicks and your cryptocurrency items turn into cash. No fee for conversion to stablecoin. You can roll up many positions into one stable instrument.
- P2P payments to everyone. You send money to Phantom Username immediately, regardless of where the recipient is in the world. Text payments are to appear soon.
- Phantom debit card. This is where it gets really interesting. Virtual (and soon physical) Phantom Debit card works wherever Visa is accepted. You add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and pay like a regular card. Difference? It is powered directly from your Phantom balance.
- Virtual account for receiving payments. After one -off verification (supported by Stripe) you get an account to which you can pay funds for a regular bank account.
- Earning on uninvestous funds. Later this year, Phantom will launch the option of passive earning on a cash, which simply lies on the account. No locks, no complications.
Kyc? It depends what you want to do
Phantom approaches the topic of verification intelligently: On-chain Phantom Cash functions do not require kyc. Do you just want to use blockchain? Act anonymously. But if you need a virtual account, Direct Deposit or a debit card – then verification is necessary for regulatory reasons. Stripe supports it, so Phantom has no access to your personal data.
Stablecoin na Solanie – Fight for the Market Square
Starting Phantom Cash is not a random move. This is part of a larger puzzle – growing competition in the Stablecoin segment on Solanie. The ecosystem matures, users are growing in strength, and projects are fighting for who will become the default solution for Crypto payments.
Phantom clearly focuses on practicality. Instead of another speculation token, we get a tool designed to spend money. Soon, Cash is also to appear as a payment method for all supported by Stripe Checkout. These are potentially millions of sales points.
New money is here
Phantom Cash is currently in the Early Access phase with a limited number of places. Full implementation is to start next month. Will it change the market? Time will tell. But one thing is certain: Phantom Cash does not pretend that cryptocurrencies will replace traditional finances. Instead, he builds a bridge between two worlds and does it really efficiently.
