Michael Saylor announces another purchase of Bitcoins through Strategy

Michael Saylor signaled another purchase of Bitcoins by Strategy. Reason? Fall in the BTC course to attractive areas on the chart.

Michael Saylor wants to buy BTC

Co -founder Strategy, Michael Saylor, signaled the upcoming another purchase of Bitcoins by his company, because the price of cryptocurrency dropped to attractive levels.

Recently, Strategy has bought 155 BTC for USD 18 million, increasing its total resources to 628 946 BTC worth over USD 74.2 billion. Saylortracker data show that the company can already boast of over 60 %. profit (this gives over USD 28 billion unrealized profits).

The first large company that invested in BTC

Strategy buys BTC 2020. Initially, it was an alternative to BTC ETFs – it began to give investors an indirect exposure to bitcoin (ETF funds have not yet worked). Everything changed in 2024, when the first BTC ETFs appeared on the market, which made it easier for institutional investors to invest in BTC using fund units. The same applied to smaller investors who wanted someone to store their cryptocurrencies in a safe way, but giving them an exposure to the BTC market.

Saylor recently said that he is not worried about the strengthening trend on investing by companies in ETH.

I still think that the vast majority of capital coming to the industry goes to Bitcoin. Over the past six months, the number of companies investing in Bitcoin has increased from about 60 to 160; So I’m still focused on bitcoin

He said in August in an interview with Bloomberg.

Strategy has increased its BTC resources over twice since the election of Donald Trump as president of the US, which took place in November 2024, purchasing a total of 376 726 BTC and in just nine months. For comparison: the 252 220 BTC assembly took over four years.

The Strategy share price increased by almost 2600%for 5 years, which shows that Saylor’s idea was justified. The question is how everything will look in this field in the long term and whether ETFs will take the company of capital.
