Karol Nawrocki has an idea for an economy. Find out what the new president wants to change in Poland

Karol Nawrocki today, on August 6, was officially sworn in as president of Poland. He promises that from the first days he will be an active head of state. If so, let me remind you what exactly he promised us all during the election campaign.

Karol Nawrocki and his economic ideas

Nawrocki claims that he will not sign any laws “raising taxes for Poles”. And you can trust him – at least until his political environment does not return to power. As long as the current coalition will rule, the president will actually be a “dam” for all increases.

During the campaign, the then head of the Institute of National Remembrance also reminded that after years ago it raised the VAT rate to 23%. As President Nawrocki, he is to cut by 1 point. percent, which means a return to 22%.

On the first day of office on August 6, 2025, I will submit a bill reducing the basic VAT rate from 23% to 22%

– we read on his website.

Not only that, if we are to believe him, he is to submit another project today, regarding PIT at 0% for large families. On the already cited page we read:

Also on August 6, 2025, I will submit to the Sejm bills containing the following solutions:

• PIT 0% for families who have two or more children – income tax exemption up to PLN 140,000 annually for each parent raising at least 2 children (minors, disabled or studying up to the age of 25).

• Benefits of pro -family reliefs for entrepreneurs – tax breaks will also include entrepreneurs settled with flat tax (19%) and a lump sum on recorded revenues.

• Increasing the 2nd tax threshold – raising a second threshold to PLN 140,000.

• Belka tax liquidation – lifting tax on capital gains up to PLN 140,000 income per year.

• Right valorisation of pensions, valorisation of pensions at least PLN 150 and always above the inflation indicator.

And his fight will not end there. Nawrocki also wants to enter the basic principle prohibiting the introduction of catastral tax on the apartments and houses of Polish families and the principles of inheritance of property from generation to generation without tax.

However, the government also needs funds for actions. And that’s why the new head of state is to propose “budget armor”, “ensuring effective protection of the state budget against abuse.” It is about the task of blowing the VAT mafia and “other groups extorting public money”.

Development, fool!

Taxes are one thing, but the country must also have a wider development plan. Nawrocki during the campaign proposed “Big Four of Development”: CPK, Atom, Ports and Investment Zones.

The Central Communication Port is one of the PiS flagship projects, which, however, during the reign of this party did not start in practice. Similarly, things are with the construction of a nuclear power plant.

The new president also offered us an investment program in every commune. It is about new roads, water and sewage infrastructure, Internet access and network development, school repairs and finally bicycle paths.

Nawrocki also fought for an electorate in the countryside and farmers. He talked about blocking “liquidation of Polish agriculture”. In practice, he talked about blocking the European Union agreement with Mercosur and the liquidation of the EU budget regarding agriculture. In addition, he was against the green order in agriculture and uncontrolled inflow of food from Ukraine.

Euro? Falls off!

The topic of Zloty and the euro also appeared in Nawrocki’s program.

An euro currency without reflective introduction will be another wave of expensive and strict dependence on the decisions of European elites. Yes for economic freedom – cash maintaining

– we read on the candidate’s website.

“Keeping cash” should be particularly interested in Bitcoin fans: banknotes guarantee you similar anonymity in payment processes as cryptocurrencies. Replacing the paper gold CBDC would be a potential blow to our privacy!

The introduction of the euro may arouse greater controversy. The last country that has decided on such a step – Croatia – so far has gained it at an angle of GDP. However, he lost in terms of inflation. Anyway, euro opponents in Poland concentrate their criticism in this field: in practice it is in practice that power over the Central Bank of the European Union. It will be more difficult to adapt the monetary policy to the needs of the local economy. Apart from the fact that so far most countries have lost at the admission of the euro (the exception is really only Germany).

… and own M for everyone!

Nawrocki also fought for a social electorate during the election campaign. He wants to help Poles access their own apartment.

Areas for the construction of apartments for cooperatives and local governments, access to the state support of the purchase of the first apartment, limiting the unfair profits of banks on interest on housing loans – Poles will gain, not developers and bankers who keep with power

– he calculated in the program.

Fund for the Development of Term Technology

Nawrocki also wants to “finance at least PLN 5 billion a year” “AI projects, quantum computers, biotechnology and drug production.

At this point, the topic of blockchain and cryptocurrencies did not appear. The PiS candidate did not say much about the latter: once he only recorded a short video in which he promised that he would protect this industry. Unfortunately, no specifics.

Summary – what president will Karol Nawrocki be?

Karol Nawrocki will be formally sworn in as president of Poland today. A 5-year term before him, and in half a decade probably a fight for re-election. But what head will the former head of the Institute of National Remembrance?

It is said that the President of Poland has little power. However, this is not entirely true, because it has the right of veto, which he can use in negotiations with the government. Sławomir Mentzen spoke about it during the election campaign. Nawrocki can use this idea to press Donald Tusk’s office to implement at least some of his ideas. In practice, however … it will not work. The latest story teaches us.

However, Nawrocki will be able to spread his wings for just over two years – assuming that PiS will win the next election to the Sejm and Senate again. Then Nowogrodzka will have its government and the head of state, which will facilitate the implementation of programs, both the group and the president. So far, there are many indications that Nawrocki’s main task is to simply weaken the PO, Polish 2050, PSL and Left office, which is to help PiS return to power.

In terms of cryptocurrencies, the potential veto of the president regarding the draft law regulating the digital assets in Poland will be particularly important. According to MP Janusz Kowalski, Nawrocki is to veto the document, and then PiS will propose its version of the regulations. This can help save the cryptocurrency market in our country.

It is worth remembering that for the next five years Nawrocki will also have to fight for re -election. He will not be able to make decisions that will hit his voters. This is generally the biggest problem of Polish presidents – the election system itself condemns them to guarding the chandelier – a naned policy and avoiding controversy.
