It happened! Artificial intelligence takes over power! So far, only as part of the British Sensay startup experiment, but it is possible that this is just the beginning.
Artificial intelligence rules!
Startup Sensay decided to check how Ai would rule the country. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the company did not decide on the USA, Russia, Poland or China, but for a small island in the Philippines, in the Province of Palawan, which covers only 3.4 km² of beaches, rainforests and coral lagoons.
However, the amazing government received such an undempled “state”: 17 avatars of historical figures will now be at its head. Marek Aureliusz became the president, Winston Churchill, Prime Minister, Nelson Mandela Minister of Justice, and the secretary of the treasury Alexander Hamilton. Sun Tzu deals with defense, whose work to this day is cited by strategy experts, Education Confucius, and the culture of Leonardo da Vinci himself! With such a office, the island can quickly become an empire!
AI was previously “fed” with letters, speeches and philosophical treaties of individual characters. Everything to best reflect their management and thinking style.
It’s not just about politics
The island is to be not only managed by geniuses from almost every field, but also pursue sustainable development policy. Her economy will be powered by renewable energy.
Until 2026, the first citizens will be elected (the “Citizenship Applications” module has already been launched). The project is also about enabling people from around the world to co -decide on the future of the region.
Of course, the project is very interesting. The question is whether real to implement. In fact, in a sense, giving power AI would mean a departure from democracy – with all its advantages and disadvantages. Certainly at this stage it is too early to implement such ideas seriously. However, the new technology can help the rulers in making decisions – analyzing data and complex problems.
And has almost taken over power once
It is worth adding that a year ago in the US, one of the candidates in the election of the mayor of Cheyenne, Wyoming has already tried to give artificial intelligence power. It was about 42-year-old Victor Miller, a librarian, whose cooked man was VIC. Under this nice name for the ear was the creation of AI – Virtual Integrated Citizen, Bot based on chatgpt.
Miller promoted what I mentioned during the campaign – supporting the rulers by AI. However, the idea did not like the idea: the duo of man and chatbot only supported just over 300 voters. The election was won by the mayor Patrick Collins, which was voted by as many as 6286 people.
