The Polish senior has been robbed by the “cryptocurrency” method twice

The senior was cheated as part of the “cryptocurrency” Scamu. She fell victim to criminals twice!

There were to be cryptocurrencies, there is a gap in the household budget

A 69-year-old poviat resident came to the Poviat Police Headquarters in Świdnica. It turned out to be a victim of “cryptocurrency” Scamu. She lost over PLN 70,000. First, some criminals persuaded her to invest in digital assets, and then the second group robbed her … The second time she tried to regain lost capital.

The fraud scheme was as always in such cases: the senior found a network announcement that encouraged to invest in cryptocurrencies, gave her contact details, then the “adviser” called her and … started! First, the woman paid a little over PLN 40,000 to a bank account provided by fraudsters. Her beautiful vision was presented – her means are growing. At one point she thought she had earned over USD 18,000.

And again, according to the known scheme, the problems began when she wanted to pay “earned” funds. Her “investment advisor” stopped contacting her and the money could not be recovered. So she began to seek help online. And she came across an announcement of a company that allegedly specialized in recovering funds from unsuccessful investments in cryptocurrencies. Her new “adviser”, this time from the fight against the Scamers, convinced her that the “office” would help recover the entire amount.

Importantly, the company’s representative contacted the woman only with WhatsApp.

It was supposed to be help, there is … another loss

Desperate 69-year-old signed a contract, sent her a photo, gave her personal data in the document. Then she logged in to a fake platform, where she saw her means. Only that suddenly it turned out that to pay them he had to pay a 30% commission. And no, the red lamp did not come out in her head: for the next days she transferred money to the cheaters’ account. Then she still did not receive her capital – another payment was demanded from her: in the amount of over 2,2,000 USD. In addition, the “adviser” began to persuade her to take out a loan. Only then did she go to the police. In total, she lost PLN 70,000.

When investing money, use only legal and proven sources. Do not trust companies that contact only messengers and demand money or personal data. Do not click on suspicious links – they can lead to false pages that extort data and money. Consult with someone close or call the police before you make a transfer
